Camping Fun with Dee and Karen
We are lucky enough to have lots of families that love us and we were invited to go camping with Dee and Karen and their family. We love these trips and so do our kids. We get to do a talent show and paint nails, crafts, and lots and lots of good food. We always have so much fun with Dee and Karen and fam.
Harris was a Preemie and so every year they have a party so they can see how well all the babies have done. This year it was a pool party at our favorite pool. The kids loved it except Kassidy who took some convincing. We found out that Harris is a little water baby, he kept wanting us to dunk him under the water. Kori is always up for an adventure and the only one to go down the kiddie slide. They fed us sandwiches and popcorn and chips, it was awesome free fun.
Vegas For Kassidy's Birthday
For Kassidy's Birthday we thought that she would enjoy seeing the Acrobats at Circus Circus and since we were already on our way home from Arizona that we would stop in. The kids were amazed and had a LOT of fun. It was cool to get to actually see Vegas since I haven't ever been able to even stop there. Kassidy thought it was a pretty good Birthday present and we were so tired when we left. The heat was more than we are used to and I think that it wore us out. I was amazed at all the spectacular things there were to do, now that we live in Utah I forgot what its like to live in a city that never sleeps:) We visited the M&M shop and the Coke shop, we went through a few of the hotels just to look, and let the kids play at the amusement park inside of circus circus. I hope that we can go back someday but maybe in the winter months.

Is that God?
Today we sat down to watch General Conference while our kids were upstairs watching a Disney movie. This way we could listen to the words of the speakers without distraction or interruption. Of course, it did not last long. The kids felt the need to see what they were missing, as they quite often do. When Kassidy saw the speaker on the screen, she must have noticed something different, unique, or special about President Thomas S. Monson, because she immediately got Kori's attention and said, "Look Kori!" with excitement. She wanted her sister to see this incredibly unique man. She then turned to Kathryn and I and asked, "Is that God?" We explained to her that it wasn't God, but a prophet of God that we have on the Earth today. It shocked me that such a young girl (age 4) could distinguish a prophet of God from any other man on the planet, without being taught who he was. She obviously noticed the pureness of this man, the light in his eyes, the spirit in his demeanor, and his connection to God somehow to know that he was no ordinary man. It is such a lesson to me to be like the little children, and view things through their eyes. If we do this we can recognize things that most people don't. We can see the evidences of God, and the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It also taught me that, even though kids can be a distraction when we want to intently listen to the words spoken, and feel the spirit present, that they too need to listen to those words and feel of that spirit. They need to witness prophets speaking to them. We may not think they understand what's happening, but their perception exceeds ours more than we will ever know. The light of Christ in them testifies to them that the words spoken at conference, or at church, are true. I am grateful for my children, as they teach me, and show me, how to better understand the gospel and apply it to my life.

Pioneer children
We went to Salt Lake city on the Frontrunner train and stopped at the pioneer museum. The girl's begged for these pioneer hats and Grammy couldn't resist. They love them and look so cute!
